Collection: Opals

The ever inspiring water crystal beloved by all blessed to be in their presence. Not an actual crystal, but a silicate mineral that forms when water evaporates and silica is left behind in little spheres that reflect many rainbows of colors. Many opal types are still 6-10% or even more water.

Here we like to offer raw opal that can be worked for jewelry or kept as a specimen to enjoy. We focus on high color flash, interesting patterns and variety, and a nice matrix is always fun to drive it home that this little rainbow beauty came right from our very Earth.
