Bubbly botryoidal prehnite, on a bed of large epidote crystals. Super interactive piece that can display many different ways!

The bubbly nature of the prehnite (a type of green agate) and the stick-like rectangular nature of the epidote is a great balance.

These crystals are notoriously hard to clean, coming out muddy with a clay soil stuck all throughout the tiny crystalline structures. Luckily the man who unearthed them also found a fabulous way to clean them, and the epidote is especially shiny and velvety thanks to his method.

This is part of a special collection, dug up and cleaned methodically by Dr. Demetrius Pohl when he was living in Mali.

They are all hand selected by me in Tucson while in a shared space with him and his lovely wife and self-dug crystal collection.

Best of the best!! I picked his brain as much as I could about this find, but was quickly in over my head as far as the science goes!
